Blog #3 Expectations and reality when we are smiling

Someone said the thing that goes the farthest toward making life worthwhile, that costs the least and does the most, is just a pleasant smile. Smiling is the make-up any girl could wear, and the most powerful antidote to stress. The act of smiling is a simple act, but it brings a great amount of benefits, it can cause hearts to warm up, distances to reduce and boundaries to melt.

Unfortunately, smiling sometimes is not such good as we described. Whenever someone takes a picture of us, our smile always look too creepy (even though they are pretty nice and beautiful), and we don't know how to explain it. Furthermore, we always smile and laugh naturally but in pictures or in front of cameras it's like we look like I want to kill the Batman. We don't want it to look forced because we think we are really happy and kind person!
 

 

Blog #2 Expectations and reality in the movie called “500 Days of Summer”

Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) has a dream about being an architect, but his job is only writes greeting cards for a living. Zooey Deschanel as Summer is his boss's new assistant. He's instantly struck by the belief that she's the only girl in the world for him. Tom has always believed that he'd find "the one" someday so when Summer came, he knew that it was going to be a relationship he'd hoped for. Since this is not a typical Hollywood movie production, we are satisfied with the ending, no matter how wrong our guesses are.

“500 Days of Summer” has so many scenes that deflect our assumptions. The most remarkable scene for me is the place in which Tom attends to Summer's birthday party at the rooftop. Prior to that scene, we are compelled to believe that after their misunderstanding, they're going to be together again. We see two frames - one is Tom's expectations, and the other is his reality. Obviously, reality never feels like our dream, the good stuff he expected and the other is reality, that Summer and he are just friends.

The storyboard of " 500 Days of Summer" is the one of significant examples to tell us that a you don’t necessarily need big budgets to get big returns, low-budget film also can made it big as these high-budget one.

Blog #1 Expectations and reality while doing homework

 

Studying is the thing we all need to suffer it (ignoring those people who enjoy learning and obtaining new knowledge from books). We all expect to achieve a good mark or learn some new knowledge while we are doing our homework. Unfortunately, the dream will never come true. Most of people cannot concentrate on studying, and let their mind wander. The one of popular video called “Shit people do instead of studying” by mychonny can be the most significant example to the expectation and reality while we are doing homework.
 

By the way, mychonny is an Asian-Australian YouTube celebrity and most subscribed in Australia. He made five channels, and three of them (mychonny, yourchonny and chonnyday) are talking about Asian related and real-life stuffs, such as “Strict Parents: Sleepovers”, “Worst Kung fu show ever”, and “Family Gatherings”. His YouTube channels have 565,817 subscribers as of July, 2012. I really like his exotic accent and natural sense of humor (I hope someday I can be this type of people like him).

 

 

 

Introduction

Harro! ^^ We are students from Macquarie University, and we set up a study group for ISYS100 assignment 2.

Our group members are:

As we know, most of people want to be happy in their lives. We are contented when the situation in our lives is good enough and delighted when something very good happens. In fact, reality was always cruel and never feels like dream. Therefore, we picked the topic called “Expectation and Reality” for our assignment 2.

After the topic is settled, we start to decide what genre we like best in terms of picking a movie to film. After comparing notes we found that realistic comedy can be used to express the central idea of our video. In order to approach to our theme, we decided to use a picture with cloud and flowers as our blogger background. The reason why we picked this pictures is because could is the symbol of the ethereal heights of heaven, and it also can be defined as dreams. Because plants and flowers that will grow and thrive in full in shade, therefore, flowers can be defined as land and our reality as well. We think it is perfectly match with our topic.
